A dynamic, progressive leader, ARINC provides critical engineering solutions in the aerospace and defense, airports, aviation, government, networks, security and transportation industries. ARINC's Joint Comm Engineering Department is seeking 5 Network System Engineers to support our customer the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) in Fort Meade, MD. The Network System Administrators will: Provide Information Assurance expertise and manage networks/ systems and maintain the security posture of JITC test and operational networks. Spec, order, install, configure, maintain, and optimize network equipment to include computers, routers, servers, switches, and mass storage devices. Work with the on-sight engineering staff to optimize the performance of the network while insuring all IAVA patches and upgrades are applied and maintained on all peripheral computers, databases, and equipment used for testing. Qualifications: Requirement Experience: Since this position requires privileged access to Department of Defense information systems, the candidate must, at a minimum, hold a Security Plus, Network Plus, or A-Plus certification. Must have at least six years experience in the area of specialization, and have

completed at least one certification program directly related to this labor category, such as: UNIX System Administrator, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), AT&T switches, Nortel switches, ATM, fiber optics, and PC maintenance and repair. Higher- level certifications such as Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Professional & Internet (MCP&I) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) may be substituted for two years experience. At a minimum, the candidate must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance. Education/Certification Must have completed an Associates degree or a minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited institution related to the work above. Additionally, a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution involving the academic curricula presented in paragraph five may substitute for one year experience and a related Masters degree may substitute for two years experience.

Network Job: Communications/Network Operator Technician Description: Duties and Responsibilities: With a wide range of knowledge, maintains and provides complex technical support, testing and troubleshooting for the telecommunications of the network, including all telecommunications hardware and software for the network operations center. Ensures that all routers and bridges are properly configured and maintained. Monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and/or evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems; provide technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the global networks and systems. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutover. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Responsible for monitoring, tracking and evaluating global Information Technology Infrastructure incidents. Candidate shall also have the following experience:

Cisco/Foundry experience, Solid background in switching, Experience on customer's enterprise network IP management (DHCP/DNS), Long haul comms experience (tech control), and

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification. Requires bachelor's degree in (Computer Science, Math or Engineering) or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.

3. Which job would you prefer? List reasons for your selection.

ANSWER:

I would prefer Operating Systems Administrator, because I know I am good competitor. With more practices, I may be a good qualifier. A Operating system administrator has big responsibilities in networking fields like, installing and configuring new hardware and software. In my case today, I guess I am confident enough to perform such tasks and practice more and i know it will not be that easy, I am ready to learn more and enhance my knowledge in this particular field.
