WORKBOOK COVER DESIGN CONTEST YEAR 2
“Our SEAL Class: Leading Us Onward as One”
This picture shows how we are claiming victory by surrounding ourselves with love and
optimism. The sun symbolizes the light and hope that every student has and that which
moves them to strive more in life; while the dreams that keep them going is represented
by the group of person with different professions. The flag stands for one’s nationalism.
The cross and fire show the burning faith and Christianity of Centralians that should be
raised high enough for everyone to see. These representations serve as our guide to be a
fully developed person –one with attitude and character, and is a good steward of the
things that God has entrusted him. Student Artists: Tristan Celement M. Espinosa John

STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY AND PURPOSE

The basic philosophy and point of view that shall undergird the total program of the Guidance
Services is one that subscribe to the fundamental proposition that every human being is entitled to
seek his own identity. Such position inherently adheres to the thesis that no person is to be imposed
upon the attitudes, moral or spiritual values of another. Rather the role of and professional
obligations of the professional Guidance Counselor is to give assistance without prescription or the
imposition and forced acceptance of his own standards. The ethics of the professional Guidance
Counselor does not condone the values of any group or particular code. The basic consideration of
the counseling profession is to aid people in the best manner possible to arrive at the most
reasonable and satisfying role of living for them. Such a philosophy is a foundation upon which
professionals in this field carry out their work.
Student Enhancement Activities for Life!

The Student Enhancement Activities for Life! (SEAL), is a Guidance Program that aims to study, design,
implement, and evaluate specific activities that will provide a holistic learning experience for our students

guidance class for freshmen students to be facilitated by the CPU GSC guidance personnel. This class will

E
S
the self, the development of personal and social responsibility, and the enhancement of life skills that will

U
help them survive college from “enrolment to commencement”.

C

in a more personal way.
