1. Tryouts shall be conducted ONLINE to determine the players representing.
2. Players are expected to have an account for Home - Chess.com and for discord. 3. Players are also expected to be in the discord call 5 minutes before the tryouts starts. Players’ cameras are expected to be open at all times in the game proper. Server link for discord will be given on the day of the tryouts. 4. Tournament format will be finalized after the possible number of participants is determined. 5. All standard rules for the game apply. 6. All players must be able to do the following: a. The match-up shall be decided through a single elimination system and shall initially be through draw lots. b. Properly move all of the chess pieces. c. Understand Check and the ways to get out of check (move, block, capture). d. Understand Checkmate. e. Understand the “touch-move” rule. f. No outside assistance during the game is allowed. g. In case of any confusion/disputes, players must talk to the tournament organizers. 7. All other standard rules not mentioned for the game apply.
