English Course Design for Kindergarten Level 2 (2nd Period)

(From May to August)
Topics that are pending from the first period

● I Appreciate and Take Care My Body

Subject: Action verbs

run, walk, jump, turn around, open, close

● I Eat Very Well

Subject: Healthy and unhealthy food

soda – cake – donnut – pizza – ice cream - hot dog – hamburger - orange juice– water –
fruits – vegetables

● Math Concepts

Subject: Shapes
The circle is orange – The square is blue – The triangle is green – The rectangle is
purple- The star is yellow
Exploring My Universe

● Colors

Subject: light and dark colors

The square is dark blue, the triangle is light green, the rectangle is light purple, etc.

● I Value and Take Care of Nature

Subject: Seasons
Spring – Summer – Fall/Autumn – Winter
What to wear in each season (Dress- swimsuit – raincoat – jacket-hat-boots)

● The Animals

Subject: Pets

Students say how it is their pet, for example my cat is small, my dog is big, my mouse is
grey.

Subject: Farm Animals

The cow is fat – the horse is thin – the pig is big – the hen is small – the chick is yellow,
etc.

Subject: Wild Animals

The monkey is small – the giraffe is big – the elephant is big – the snake is long – the lion
is orange.

Note:
All of these topics are previewed to be learnt during this second period, although it can
change depending on the pace of each student, because, as you know, not all students
learnt at the same pace, and you have into account that a foreign language is not so easy
to learn, above all, when students are in early ages, hence it’s completely necessary to do
a lot of reinforcement.
