Blog 1
Welcome to
the first blog of many following activities to participate in around the area of Saratoga
Springs, New York. I have lived there for nineteen years of my life, and I don’t think I have
ever seen somewhere quite like Saratoga (that’s what people call it for short. Lots of people
may assume there can’t be much fun found in a small town in upstate New York that gets
killed by cold weather and snow in the winter. But they’re wrong! Saratoga is home to so
many unique events and activities that is many people are unfamiliar of. The most popular
time to visit is during what most people refer to as “track season”. It’s when the racecourse
(which I will touch on in a blog) is taking place for 8 weeks during the summer. This blog is
going to dive into a handful of different activities and events that take place in Saratoga
visiting Saratoga or
numerous times and is educated on what it’s like to be present at them. The hope is the give
people reading a genuine description of these events. I feel as if informational websites can
fall from the truth of what goes on at these places. A local, like myself, that has been
through these things countless times can give a great feel and description of what to expect.
Saratoga Springs is located in upstate New York, about 40 minutes north of Albany and
about 30 minutes south of the bottom of Lake George. You may know nothing about
Saratoga, or you may know everything is to know. Hopefully these blogs will help those
that don’t know much about this place I call home and are interested in learning more
about it.
trying to get to them. Each of them offers their own unique experience that are hard to get
in other places. Throughout the blogs, there will most likely be some activities you find
super interesting, and some, not so much. But I can almost guarantee you that you’ll find
something that you will have a ton of fun at. There are things for all different people, of
different ages and interests, and my goal is to connect you to what sparks your interest.
