Universal Design for Learning (UDL): We can use UDL in this lesson by giving students videos in different
languages, so they can still understand what is being taught. After seeing the video, students can try the
activity themselves.
Lesson idea implementation: The students will start with a new unit of gymnastics and this one would be
specifically focused on cartwheels. The students will be provided a tutorial on how to use EdPuzzle. Then they
will begin using themselves. Once they have completed the EdPuzzle, they will find a partner and grab a mat
to use together. They will take turns practicing the skill while the other partner is a spotter.
I will facilitate the students’ learning by observing and providing congruent feedback. The students at higher
level can try and do multiple cartwheels in a row. I will end the lesson by asking them the cues to how a
proper cartwheel should look and ask for demonstrations. I will also explain to them what we are doing for
their next lesson to get them excited.

Reflective Practice: I know many students are not able to do a proper cartwheel. After this lesson, they
should feel accomplished and proud of themselves for even trying something new or bettering the skills they
had already. This lesson could be extended by having students try multiple cartwheels in a row while telling
them to keep the proper form. Students could also use BaM video delay, so they can watch themselves back
in slow motion so they can see where they can improve their form.
