What are the uses of Video Conferencing?

and audio conferences in a safe and
responsible manner.

1. Motivation
Audio conferencing is a meeting among three or more persons in different locations that typically uses handheld
wired telephones, speakerphones or mobile phones. Since audio is used during this conference,it is a must to have a
clear transmission of everyone's voice. You can use HI-Q, an offline application to modify and enhance your voice..
On the other hand, Video conferencing is a meeting among participants in different locations that typically uses
computer networks to transmit both audio, text and video data. In order to participate in a video
conference, you must have a video camera, microphone, speakers and video conferencing software along with your
computer with Internet access.

Nowadays, making video calls is not as expensive as before since there are plenty of free video
conferencing software that are available.

1. Download the Zoom desktop application on your computer.

2. Click on the meeting invite URL that the host shared via email or chat.
3. Click open Zoom meetings.
4. Approve the request for permission to use your computer's audio and camera.
5. Wait for the host to let you in.
Depending on the meeting's set-up, you may enter the meeting right away, you may need to wait for the host to
arrive first or you may be placed into a waiting room that the host controls. We should be careful in using video and
audio conference tools. We should use these tools in safe and responsible manner for our own good and others.

Do’s:
• Be respectful.
• Do not send a virus.
• Always try to give a smart and concise answer.
• Ask permission when joining in video and audio conferences.
• Avoid uploading or downloading inappropriate images that will cause harm to others especially to children.
Don’ts:
• Do not leave the conference without permission of others.
• Do not talk to others while having video and audio conferences.
• Sending a spam or letting anyone use your account to send spam to others is not allowed.
