Purpose of the Study

The main purpose of this study is to find out about the perspectives of lesbian

students in their college life. It aimed to broaden the mind of all individuals about the

experiences of lesbian students in order to avoid stereotypical perceptions and

stigmatism.

The research also intends to give awareness to the society to lessen the

stereotyping of the Lesbians and the whole LGBTQ community, especially in a culture

like here in the Philippines, where people aren’t that used to the concept of having the

community be open and recognized in public.
