Last spring, my family and I went on a sailing trip. The weather was sunny and we
were having a lovely time. One afternoon, we decided to sail our boat to a little island.
Suddenly, the weather changed. Soon, it was raining heavily and the wind was
blowing. The boat was rolling from side to side. The wind overturned the boat and we fell
into the sea. We were shouting for help when a boat appeared.
They threw us ropes, helped us aboard and took us back to the harbour. I was so
happy to be safe again!

Last summer, I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. One day, the
weather was nice and I decided to go for a walk.
After a while, I stopped in a field to have a picnic. Suddenly, dark clouds filled the sky and
it started raining heavily. Soon, the fields began to flood. The water rose to above my
knees and I climbed up a tree to escape.
After about half an hour, I saw a man in a small boat. I called to him, he helped me
down and took me to safety. It was a terrifying experience and I’m glad it’s over.

or cycling. I think they’re both challenging sports.
Cycling is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, but it’s a bit expensive. There’s lots of
equipment to buy like the bike, the helmet, and special shoes. Hockey is exciting and it
isn’t expensive to play. It teaches you team skills but it is a bit dangerous.
To me, both sports are thrilling, but I think you should choose hockey because it

easily.

The problem is too many people drive cars and other vehicles on our roads. The

A good solution to this problem is public transport. When lots of people use public
transport there are not as many cars on the road. Another good idea is to use electric
cars. These cars do not send out dangerous exhaust fumes which damage the environment.

Every day, we use lots of electricity. By using so much electricity, we are damaging
the world we live in.
The problem is that to make the electricity we need to burn fossil fuels. Burning
fossil fuels can cause air pollution like acid rain which pollutes lakes, rivers and the soil. It
can also cause global warming and climate change. This can destroy animal habitats and
damage our environment in lots of ways.
A good solution to this problem is to switch off lights and appliances when we are
not using them. We could also replace all our lightbulbs and appliances with energy-saving
ones. If everyone helps, we can all make a difference.
