The map depicts the city of Brandfield by means of illustrating the different areas that compose the

city, as well as their respective usages. It shows the feasible areas in which a new shopping mall
could be constructed (S1 and S2).

From an overall perspective, we can identify different key point around the city’s map. There is a
Golf course together with a park in the east side of Brandfield, represented by a light green color.
Being close to the city center (depicted in red) it is, however, separated from that part of the city by
a main road that dives Brandfield in two pieces.

There is also a river that crosses the entire area from south-east to the north. The train railway goes
from the south-east to the north-west of the city, crossing paths with the main road above the
north-east side of the city center. Just between the railway and the highway we find a Housing
estate represented in a checked yellow pattern occupying the northern area of the map. Right
opposite, in the east, we find an Industrial Estate ground represented in pink.

As regarding the S1, it is to be found between the housing area an the inner city. Close to both, the
river and the main road. On the contrary, the S2 is placed adjacent to the industrial area and
surrounded by the railway and the main road.
