On behalf of Chess Federation of Sri Lanka and FIDE, Knight Flame Chess Club is organizing the 10th Ethugalpura
International Chess Championship 2018 an International Rated open chess Event for the 10th time with a total prize fund
nearly Rs400,000/- in cash and other attractive awards. The Event Will be played according to Swiss System with 10 Rounds
from 08th to 12th December 2018.

 Youngest Player in the Tournament will be awarded Special Prize.

 Best Boy and Best Girl in Sri Lanka will be select and awarded with distinctive Awards. (Organizer will declare the
selection Criteria at the Opening Ceremony)
 If a player wants to represent Cooperate Sector Organization (CSO) or Higher Education Institute (HEI), the player
should be informed the event organizer before starting the 2nd round. The player should have proper approval from the
representing those sectors to do so.
 There should be a minimum of 3 players from the same CSO / HEI to claim a team prize.
 The team place will be decided by the top five players of the same CSO / HEI. None can represent both categories.
 If need more clarification on this regard, please contact the organizer.

 All the Participants will be provided With Participation Certificates. Only one prize is can be claimed by a player. In Age
Group prizes, winners are eligible for only the prize in their respective Age Category. (Ex- Player in Under 10 Category
not eligible for a prize in Under 12 Category)

Accommodation

 All the Foreign players with more than 2200 ELO Rating will be provided with accommodation with three meals.
 All foreign players with more than 2000 ELO rating will be provided with accommodation only.
 All those who needs A/C Rooms Accommodation has to pay an extra fee 20$ per night.
 IMs, WIMs may contact Organizers Directly.
 All the Foreign players (Below 2000 ELO & Unrated) and accompanying person have to bare their own expenses.
 Local Outstation players can be accommodated with a normal charge.
Travel Grant

 GMs, WGMs, IMs, WIMs with ELO 2300 (2200 for WIMs) will be given a travel grant of Rs 20,000/=
 All the foreign players will be provided free transport facilities from Airport to Hotel and Hotel to Airport
Entry Fees

 The Title players (GM, WGM, IM, WIM, FM, and WFM) and having a rating of above 2000 ELO are Free.
 The Local Players having ELO above 2000 will grant either appearance fee of Rs 5,000.00 or Free Accommodation
for 04 Nights (Accommodation will be sharing basis), Players only eligible for this if they complete all the rounds in
the event.

 Rs 500.00 will be reduced from Entree Fee if players register before 05th December 2018 by paying the
relevant amount.
