ELEASE Republic of the Philippines: FEB 03 202 Department of Education veveo-apsyao RL, Cordillera Administrative Region ‘Schools Division of Apayao February 02, 2022 DIVISION MEMORANDUM NO. cp , S. 2022 GUIDELINES ON THE NEW DEPED NATIONAL UNIFORM FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL TO: Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Chief Education Supervisors, CID, SOD Education Program Supervisors Public Schools District Supervisors All School Heads (Elementary & Secondary) All Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel (Elementary & Secondary) All Others Concerned 1, Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 016, s. 2021 dated March 31, 2021 from Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones, Department of Education (DepEd), states the adoption of the four (4) new sets of DepEd national uniform designs for Teaching and two (2) new national uniform designs for Non-teaching Per- sonnel starting the transition period of the School Year (SY) 2021-2022. 2. Relative to this, the field is reminded of the following as stated in paragraphs 3,5,8 and 9 of the said memorandum: a. Only the approved national uniforms should be used by both teaching and non-teaching personnel. There shall be no Regional and Schools Division uniforms as to have uniformity across all offices. b. The Teaching and Non-teaching Personnel from Central, Regional, Divi- sion and Schools are free to purchase and obtain the prescribed uniform ma- terials from any available source that comply with the standards set. ¢. Modification or adjustments on the prescribed uniforms (e.g. long sleeves instead of short sleeves, skirts, instead of pants for the female employees) to conform with religious, social, and cultural requirements or any legitimate practice related thereto shall be allowed. 4. Medical and Dental staff who shall wear their profession’s uniforms; Janitors, Utility and Maintenance Personnel who shall wear appro- priate working attire; iv. Legal Officers, i.c. lawyers/attorneys, whose nature of work requires a different dress code; v. Teaching and Non-teaching Personnel with physical disabilities and other legitimate health reasons; vi. Pregnant employees who shall wear maternity dresses during their period of pregnancy; and vii, Teaching and Non-teaching personnel who are in mourning may wear the appropriate mourning clothes. 3. Please be further informed that starting SY 2022-2023, all teaching and non- teaching personnel shall wear the prescribed new sets of uniforms. 4. For the detailed guidelines, kindly refer to the said DepEd Memorandum. 5. The annual clothing and uniform allowance in the amount of Six Thousand Pe- 808 (P6,000.00) was already released to all eligible personnel.
