TALENT SHOW MECHANICS AND RULES

Guidelines to Join:

1. All participants must be students part of PSME.

a. If there is a shortage of participants:

i. The participants may then consist of students taking BS Mechanical Engineering.

2. Participants must register for the 11th PSME National Students’ Conference.

3. The Talent Show of the PSME Fellowship Night will be divided into two categories which are singing
and dancing

4. Be creative on your audition video, no extensive editing shall be allowed. Failure to comply will result
in disqualification.

a. The audition video must not exceed five (5) minutes.

b. Please include the following information in your application. (Other additional details may
be requested in the Audition Pre-registration Form)

i. Terms and conditions

ii. Name

iii. Age

iv. School

v. Purpose in joining the event

vi. Act

5. Alumni are not allowed to join the PSME Talent Show.

6. Previous winner(s) of the Fellowship Night talent show are not allowed to join as contestants.

7. Any genre of song or music will do.

8. Strictly NO EXPLICIT CONTENT.

9. All groups/ individuals who would like to participate in the upcoming NatCon’s PSME Sikat Saklay
must send an email with an email subject of “School Name_Act_SikatSaklay” to
11thNatcon.SikatSaklay@gmail.com on or before 11:59PM of September 13, 2021.

10. All performers who would like to participate in the PSME Natcon: Sikat Saklay are required to send
the following details along with your audition video.

a. Full Name

b. Act Name

c. Short Background and Performance Description

d. School Name

e. Complete Name of Contact Person

f. Contact Number and Email Address of Contact Person

g. Complete Names of Performers

h. Scanned Copy of each performers’ School ID

i. Scanned Copy of each performers’ enrollment receipt, or any proof of enrollment

Semi-finalists - Selection of Top 12 for each Category:

1. Judges for the selection of Top 12 will be composed of PSME Student Units and PSME Officers. Results
will be distributed accordingly for full transparency.

2. Results on the top 12 audition videos out of all the submissions will be posted on the 11th PSME
National Students’ Conference official FB page (Date TBD).

Finalists - Selection of Top 4 for each Category.

● Judges for the selection of Top 4 will be composed of hired Guest Judges and PSME Professionals.
Results will be distributed accordingly for full transparency.

● Results on the Top 4 audition videos out of all the submissions will be posted on the 11th PSME
National Students’ Conference official FB page (Date TBD).

● The Top 4 Participants will be contacted through email. In order to avoid technical difficulties
altogether, the Top 4 performances in each category are required to submit a final pre-recorded video
of their performance that will be presented live at the 11th PSME National Students’ Conference.

● Top 4 acts will be determined partly by the number of shares and likes gathered by the posted video
in PSME Facebook page and by a set of judges. 70% will be determined by the judges while 30% will
be determined on the number of likes on posts in the PSME Facebook page.

FELLOWSHIP NIGHT MECHANICS

Rules:

1. Fellowship night will start at 5:00 PM, the pre-recorded videos of the performances will be presented
during the event.

2. All participants must be present on the day of the Fellowship Night event.

3. All Four (4) performance acts are required to do an introduction before their performance. They may
choose to use a VTR video or do a free - style intro. The introductory video must be included in the
main performance. The VTR or free - style intro must not exceed one (1) minute and it must contain
the following details (in any order);

a. Name of performance act/group

b. School

c. Introduction of performance act members

d. Any dedication or other information you would like to say

4. Each performance will strictly be given 5 minutes (including introduction) to perform their
performance. Extension during the performance will result in deduction of of points (Please refer to
the Table of Deductions)

5. Any inappropriate behavior, and or damage during the event will result in an automatic
disqualification.

6. The judges have the right to disqualify the performers at any time if deemed necessary.

7. PSME will not be held accountable for any broken equipment, injuries, or any other negative
occurrences outside of the organizers’ control.

8. Substitutions are strictly not allowed; whoever is on the audition video must be the one to play live
on the event.

9. If in any case, certain member/s of the performance act can’t submit their final pre-recorded video of
their performance on the indicated deadline, an email must be presented to the organizers as soon as
possible. A decision shall be concluded upon deliberation of the organizers.

10. Strictly no profanity or any offensive language. Failure to comply will result in deduction of points.
(Please refer on the Table of Deductions)

11. Strictly no dangerous acts that may put one’s or other’s life at risk. (e.g. involving deadly weapons,
use of fire, etc.)

12. Performances that involve pets or animals are not allowed

13. Repetitions of acts among the four (4) performances are NOT allowed.

14. Strictly no revealing clothes.

Table of Deductions:

Extension of the 5 - Minute Preparation Time 0.3% per minute

Use of Profanity and Offensive Languages 0.5% per word

Extension During the Performance 0.75% per minute

NOTE: Prize distribution and prize lists will be posted on the 11th PSME Natcon FB page (Date TBD)

KAHOOT MECHANICS AND RULES

1. Participants must be registered members in the 11th PSME National Conference.
2. The game will consist of 35 questions. Each question has only one right answer. There are three
categories of questions in which the participants will answer based on the given choices per each
question.
3. The kahoot pin will be given before the start of the game and each participant must be able to join
using this template as their name (name: Name - School)
4. Each question has an allotted time of 20 seconds. Failure to answer the question within the given
time limit will prevent you a chance to gain points.
5. You may play using your phone, tablet, pc or laptop as long as it has a stable internet connection.
6. The game link will be posted on October 17, 2021 up to exactly 5:00 pm at the official page of 11th
PSME National Conference.
7. Ten (10) participants who will gain the highest score for each of the categories will be rewarded Php
500.
8. The list of winners will be posted on the official facebook page of 11th PSME Natcon.
