Panama has a railway line that consists of a single 47-mile
track linking the areas of Balboa and Colón with through-roads
available at strategic locations allowing two-way traffic. Trains
can operate continuously between the Atlantic and Pacific
Intermodal Terminals with capacity for 10 trains in each
direction every 24 hours, with the possibility of increasing to
32 daily trips.
