BATCH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Today I’ll show batch management system in SAP . Firstly let give more information batch
management generally. What is the batch number , and Where is used at ?

Batch number is use to distinguish products which have similar specific production features. Batch
could be number or letter . It can follow, control all retrospective transaction of material that is work
batch number.

Batch management is more important in medicine industry than others . So medicine organization
should keep track expiration date of drugs or things.

In the following it’s show path of batch management

After that we should all steps step by steps . So firstly it should start to configure Condition Table for
Sales and Distribution .

Next step is choosing what we want to configure table for sales organization or storage location and
etc.

Whilst as above we also select other options or you can create new one so select field and generate
After that go to the access sequence in order to determine under which conditions ( fields) should
this determination be activated . In access sequence we can define one condition table or several
condition tables with their fields to create combination.

In here we can see table number and description which is assigned table in previous step. Also in the
following we can see this assignment again

Next step is defining Strategy types

In the above , we can see that class is determinate , so that firstly it should create particular class .

Go to CL02 and create class for class type 022(Batch) . As long as it need to define characteristic for
this(CT04).

The most important point in CT04 is defining reference to Table field as below
So we can return class creation and define this characteristic in there . After all it write down this class
in strategy types . Records should be full in as below screen
The following step is Batch Search Procedure .

In here we can should assign condition type and create procedure

Next is Batch Search Procedure Allocation and Check Activation .This step is in order to where batch
can find out number at .

Here it must be note distribution channel combination and Doc type . Actually it need to use 2 different
types

DL-inbound delivery document type

NL -outbound delivery document type

After execute next step- Activate Automatic Batch Determination and now in here we should set up
checkbox field for Delivery Item category – TAN ( as below I have shown that this where come from)

The last step in customizing is Define Sort Rules

It helps that batch can understand to need which use batch number for materials during to issue after
goods receipt.

Finally we assign this class in material master data --Classification Tab

So we completed batch management determination for material . I am also note important T-codes
related batch in below .
