Downy French Lavender with premium perfume for only 5 pesos SRP. Ms. Pia Wurtzbach is the
brand ambassador for this ad, and the opening shot shows her in a place where there is a lot of
lavender. She then notices a piece of clothing that has a strong, calming perfume of lavender.
Her expression demonstrates how relatable it is to simply observe. Following the assertion, they
displayed their actual product. The scent immediately filled the air as Pia Wurtzbach put on the
clothing that she had just seen.
Claim: The advertisement shows the New Downy French Lavender with premium perfume
contains 100% French lavender essential oils and it is relaxing and long lasting scent for up to
24hrs for only 5 pesos SRP.
Methods of Persuasion

background, the audience is persuaded by the product from the commercial.
• Pathos: The endorser, Pia Wurtzbach shows great emotions throughout the commercial.
As a watcher, I can already tell that the aroma of the product, downy, is soothing and
enduring simply from viewing. Additionally, the advertisement makes use of persuasive
language to persuade the audience.
• Logos: The audience was persuaded by the commercial's statistics demonstrating that
their product includes 100% lavender essential oils as well as by the persuasive
arguments and information it presents.
Evidence: The commercial show that their claim is true thru their advertisement itself. It
persuades the listener using reasoning, ethics, and feelings. They also offer statistics.
