The President and the head of the Ministry of National

Defense will take part in the acceptance of the first K2
tanks and K9 howitzers for Poland
 The Ministry of National Defense emphasized in the communique that the
Polish Army is consistently strengthening its potential with the use of
Korean defense technologies.
 On Tuesday morning in Gdynia , President Andrzej Duda and Deputy Prime
Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak will
take part in the acceptance of the first K2 tanks and K9 howitzers for the
Polish Armed Forces. This is the implementation of the arms contracts
concluded this year with South Korea. - reported the Ministry of National
Defense.
 Speeches by the president, deputy prime minister and a representative of
the Korean side are planned.
 As added, "the framework contract concluded with Hanwha Defense covers
the acquisition of a total of 672 K9A1 self-propelled howitzers and its
Polonized K9PL development version along with accompanying vehicles, as
well as a training and logistics package, ammunition supplies and technical
support from the manufacturer."

It is very important contract,because as we saw Poland is`nt insured against

Russian invasion on Ukraine and everything can happen,so Poland can feel more
safety also Poland can make contract with Ukraine and send military equipment
to them in order to defend against enemy invasion.

Glossary:
K2 tanks-is a next-generation South Korean main battle tank designed by the Agency for Defense
Development and manufactured by Hyundai Rotem. Developed as a modern replacement for most of
the remaining M48 Patton tanks currently fielded by the South Korean military, the K2 Black Panther
combines an auto-loaded 120 mm 55-caliber smoothbore gun, advanced composite armor, extremely
high frequency pulse-doppler radar, along with soft and hard-kill active protection systems.

K9 Thunder-is a South Korean 155 mm self-propelled howitzer designed and

developed by the Agency for Defense Development and civil contractors including
Dongmyeong Heavy Industries, Kia Heavy Industry, Poongsan Corporation, and
Samsung Aerospace Industries for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, and is
now manufactured by Hanwha Defense.
