Physical Education

LEARNING COMPETENCY:

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson students must be able to:
A. identify physical activities and eating habits you do to have a healthier lifestyle;
B. assess physical activity, exercise and eating habits to continue and support healthy
lifestyle;
C. differentiate between healthy and unhealthy eating practices;
D. recognize the physical activity habits of the family in terms of health-related fitness
components;
E. undertake fitness tests;
F. assess the family’s strengths and weaknesses in the components of HRF; and
G. perform exercises to enhance cardiovascular and muscular fitness

III. TEACHING PROCEDURE:


A. PREPARATION:
a. Daily routine:
1. Greetings!
2. Daily prayer
- A student leads short invocation
3. Checking of attendance
4. Checking of cleanliness
b. Review of the past lesson
c. Motivation
- 4 Pics 1 Word, students will be going to identify the 4 pictures provide
with the scrambled word below. They may raise their hands if they
want to answer the specific question provide.
B. PRESENTATION
a. Did everyone read in advanced the module?
b. Before we formally start the class discussion, please answer the Pre-test, and
read the questions carefully and choose the best answer.
c. Discuss to the students the importance of giving PAR Q test before allowing
them to proceed to Physical Activities.
C. APPLICATION
a. Students will be going to answer the Activity 1: PAR Q and You Test. Read
the questions carefully and answer each one honestly.
b. Students will be going to answer the Activity 2: SELF ASSESSMENT following
statements carefully by putting check mark ( ) on the statement that applies
to them.
c. Students will be going to answer the Activity 3: WEIGHT, THERE’S MORE!

D. EVALUATION
a. Ask them to discuss what they have and apply it to the Last Activity, Activity
4: Hi I am. Students will be going to introduce themselves using the lesson
they have learned.

1. Bring the following to prepare for the Physical Fitness Test Next Meeting
 PE uniform (White T-shirt, Jogging Pants and Rubber Shoes)
 Tape Measure
 Stopwatch
 Meter stick
 Plastic ruler
 Masking tape/ chalk
 Bundled rubber bands
