NARRATIVE REPORT

It’s election time, the time where the student body will choose and support
the next leaders of the school. Tres Andanas Elementary School is a small public ele-
mentary school in Brgy. Magsaysay, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. It aims to develop
pupils into well-equipped leaders who can take their place responsibly in service of
the community.

Supreme Pupil Government is a school organization whose purpose is to train

the students to become better citizens in the future and to develop students’ skills
and abilities in achieving quality education and academic, excellence through coop-
erative works among themselves in achieving their goals. Last September 9, 2020,
the activities for SPG election took place. A total of 20 pupils from grade 4-grade 6
participated on the said event. There were two participating parties (Star Party List
and Angat Party List) and each has 10 officers aiming to be in the position they de-
sired.

The candidates file their COC according to their respective party. During the
last hour of candidacy, School SPG Adviser, sir Febryan M. Marcella, called for a
meeting. In this meeting the responsibility, requirements, activities and conse-
quences of being an SPG Officers were discussed. After the meeting, the official list
of candidates for SPG Election Officers S.Y. 2022-2023 was publicly announced to the
pupils. They were introduced to the pupils with brief information. The campaign pe-
riod started at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The candidates were given only limited time to
have their campaign. Each party independently planned their campaign strategies
and went to room-to-room to introduce theirselves and persuade the pupils to sup-
port them. Proper health protocol followed since we are still in pandemic.

After their brief introductions, the presidents and vice-presidents of each

party were given a chance to present their platform of government which states
goal, reason/s why they should win and some of their future projects. Then the
pupils were allowed to ask questions to the candidates.

Monday, September 12, 2022, the day had come for the pupils of Tres An -
danas Elementary School to make decisions to choose among the SPG candidates
will take the positions. The voting and counting session started at 1:pm and ended at
exactly 4:pm. Winners were announced and parents of chosen candidates signed the
consent of allowing their child to be part of the SPG Government.
