PROPOSAL FOR THE SCHOOL-BASED CHRISTMAS DECORATION CONTEST 2019


Title : School-Based Christmas Decoration Contest 2019
Proponent : YES-O Club
Target Participants: Kinder to Grade 12 students of PIS
Venue : Pamurayan Integrated School
Date : November 11, 2019 – December 6, 2019

RATIONALE
Christmas Season is one of the awaited celebrations of Christians. It is a time where
everyone’s excited to decorate their homes with ornamentals to feel the warmth of the season as
it celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. In connection, PIS Yes-O Club encourages the school to
revel the essence of Christmas through Christmas Decor Making Contest. Hence, it’s a way of
showcasing the fine craftsmanship of students and practice the 3 R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)
by actively engaging them in a creative manner as it also fits the upcoming season.

OBJECTIVES
1. To appreciate and feel the essence of the Christmas season in school.
2. To encourage student’s active participation in highlighting fine artisanship using
recyclable materials.
3. To enhance learners’ creativity and innovations incorporating environmental values
in one’s work.
STRATEGIC DESCRIPTION
a) Pre- Implementing
a.1. Planning, preparation and submission of project proposal and work plan for
comments and approval
a.2. If the proposal’s been approved, YES-O club shall conduct a meeting for advisers
and class officers of every section to be aware of the rules and regulation regarding
the guidelines to follow in Classroom Based Christmas Decoration 2019.

Rules and Guidelines
 Front part of the classroom (at where are the boards are located) will be decorated. Materials should
be all indigenous and/or recyclable
 Five hundred pesos (500) should be the maximum cost of all the materials that will be use. Each
class will provide a receipt as proof a day before the judgment day. The decision of judges is
final and irrevocable.
 The process of making decorations should be done inside of every grade level classroom during
their free time/after class supervised by the adviser.
 Avoid the used of sharp, toxic, or any materials that may harm someone.
 Perishable items should not be used.
 The organizers reserve the right to DISQUALIFY any entry, which does not comply with any of
the contest rules and guidelines.

Overall Appeal and Visual Impact (Day and Night) -20%

SOURCE OF FUND
Expenses of the event shall be augmented from sponsorship and donation.
