HOW TO LIGHT A BUNSEN BURNER

Getting a Bunsen Burner to Light

Start by turning on the gas valve, which is found at the bunsen burner's base. To ensure that
enough gas is flowing to the burner, make sure the knob is fully open.
The bunsen burner features a control knob that allows you to change the flame's height.
Turn the knob to a low setting to lower the flame height.
Light the gas: Light the gas using a spark lighter. Light the lighter while holding it close to
the bunsen burner's entrance to start the gas burning.
After lighting the gas, regulate the flame by turning the control knob to the appropriate
height. You can adjust the flame if it is too high or low until it is steady and blue in color.
Never leave a bunsen burner lit unattended, as this is a safety measure. In order to prevent
any gas buildup, you should also make sure the area is well-ventilated and keep combustible
things away from the burner.
When using a bunsen burner, always adhere to the manufacturer's instructions and any
applicable local laws.
