Writing Practice Week 3 – Letters of Complaints
Topic:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I wish to express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from your restaurant staff and service
last evening.

Firstly, despite your advertisement promising fast service, I had been calling for orders for 15 minutes
until one of the waiters came to my table. After that, I spent 20 minutes waiting for my food and drink.
That means it cost me 35 minutes just for a hamburger with slide chips and a coke.

Furthermore, I must say that the food at your place was in terrible condition when it was served to me.
Not only were the chips still raw, but the meat was frozen in the middle as well. Worst of all, your
restaurant served me rotten tomatoes.

To make matters worse, I was deeply offended by the behavior of the supervisor, who insisted on my
paying for the meal. What is more, when I refused and explained the reason, he was extremely rude and
told me not to come to your place anymore.

As you can imagine, I am totally upset about this incident. I demand an immediate written apology from
the supervisor, in addition to your letter of commitment that the service and food would no longer be in
low quality.
