1. 20 __________12
2. 32__________8
3. 8 __________ 26
4. 25 _________25
5. 15 _________ 32
B. Recall

P R J F L B I Z

B. Activity Proper
1. Presentation/Introduction

2. Modeling(I Do)

In the number line, what are the numbers to the right of 0? To the left
of 0? Which is greater? Lesser? Why? Is zero greater than all negative
integers? Why? Why not?

Zero is greater than all negative integers but smaller than all
positive integers.
All positive integers are greater than all negative integers: all
negative integers are less than all positive integers.
When comparing 2 integers with the same signs, that one that is
farther to the right on the number line is the greater integer.
Every negative number is less than 0
Every positive number is greater than 0
(-1) is the biggest negative integer
(+1) is the smallest positive integer

3. Guided Practice(We Do)

Write <,>, = to make each statement true.
1. -5 ______ 0
2. 9 _______ -8
3. -7 ______ 7
4. 55 ______ -75
5. -32 _____ -24

Group 4
Write <,>, or =
1. -4 ______ -8
2. -10 _____ 0
3. 8 _______ 9
