Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding human sexuality and managing
sexuality related issues for a healthy life
Learning Competencies and Codes: Identify basic terms in human sexuality ( sex, sexuality,
gender ).

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of 60 minutes, 100% of the learners are expected to:
identify the basic terms in human sexuality ( sexuality, sex and gender ).
II. CONTENT:

3. Motivation
Activity 1: STARTUP ACTIVITY “Pinoy henyo with a twist”
The students will be grouped into 3. The first group to play the game will
choose 7 members of their group to guess the word that are placed in their
forehead and the remaining members will help their group mates guess the

word, they will act or do hand gestures of the word and they are only allowed
to say “yes” and “no.”
Questions:
1. Can we prevent typhoons from happening?
2. How can we prepare against this natural phenomenon?
3. How can you relate the effects of these phenomena from human activities?
Presentation of the Lesson
The teacher will explain to the class the significance and relation of the startup activity to
the lesson on Environmental Problems and Issues in the Philippines.
Family health results from healthy relationships revolving around family members
expressing love and affection to one another.
The parents that show how they love and respect each other’s sexuality transfer to
their children the same sexual behaviour.
Sexual illness and the misunderstandings on the gender roles between parents and
siblings may have a significant effect on the health of the family.
Parents who are educated on sexuality will prevent their children to get misleading
information from sources like their peers, neighbourhood, and media.
