NARRATIVE REPORT ON YES-O, GPP AND SIGA

I. Introduction

Our planet Earth is the haven and sources of all the needs for everyone. From the
foods we eat, clothes we wear, and houses we dwell in- almost everything is provided
by our Mother Earth. In fact, all living creatures are dependent for their survival unto it.
Hence, we must reciprocate the benefits by being its prominent steward.

In line with this, the Dacanlao G. Agoncillo Elementary School (DGAES) as

environment-friendly institution, implements essential project to give solutions and
measures to these widespread problems. Even pandemic, school never stops finding
significant ways in contributing effective means in healing the world. It manifested with
the Youth for Environment in Schools’ Organization (YES- O) project (pursuant to
DepEd Order No. 93, s. 2011) as it initiates various environment-related activities. It is
Project GREEn Version II (Greater Restoration of Earth’s Environment): DGAES
Response in Sustaining the World. This program encourages the promotion of
environmental education and remedies to the immense environmental damage and
losses. Its main purpose is to emphasize the institution’s capacities in increasing
resilience of nature’s survival and reducing the negative impacts of unwanted
phenomena to the world through a simple yet more reliable ways with the coordination
of its stakeholders. In doing so, it primarily concerns in extending the education on
improving and developing the conditions of our nature and envisions that the next
generations will take responsibilities on its conservation, protection, restoration and
sustainability.

MAKAKALIKASAN core value was imparted and strengthen through the initiated
activities of YES-O which were attended by learners, teachers and other stakeholders.
Dacanlao G. Agoncillo Elementary School in line of the implementation of this campaign
adhere to its commitment of establishing a greener environment for a prosperous future
for the next generation.

Dacanlao G. Agoncillo Elementary School had been conducting h clean-up drive

every Friday of the month. Parents, stakeholders, Barangay Officials of Dacanlao
participated in the said activity.

As a part of the campaign of participating in the celebration of this year’s National
Earth Day Celebration, School head, teachers and learners took initiative and
objectively followed the Program’s Project

III. Conclusion

All efforts we do today have an impact on the state of our environment which will
be beneficial for the youth of the next generation. It is very significant that at early age
and stage of life, youth should be taught to love, care and respect our planet we live in.
Youth should invest their best interest concerning our ecosystem to establish and
maintain biodiversity. We need to take care our environment as it reciprocates our daily
needs to survive. Generally, we as her inhabitant should be her steward from illegal
activities and free from destruction.
