particular group of people? Define your terms. This paragraph should end with your Thesis

Statement or Question.

[Background and History]

you are aware at this time (I understand you've just started your research - don't panic. I'm only

looking for a single paragraph here). Please cite the source or sources you expect to use for

[Current Status of Your Topic]

Now that you described the background of your topic, please give details of your main

argument or question. When you write your paper, this will be the main body portion. For this

essay, please give me a paragraph on sources you expect to use when studying your thesis

statement or question. If you will be doing a personal interview, please state the name and

credentials of your interview subject. If you will be using a personal story (video, autobiog-

raphy, etc.), please cite the source.

[Counter Argument(s)]

Any good research paper will allow space for COUNTERARGUMENT - which is a

space where you reflect on criticism or opposing points of view.

Rebuttal

The counterargument is generally followed by a rebuttal section, where you answer the

counterargument with your argument against the reasoning of the counterargument, or with

an acknowledgment that the critique is essentially fair and correct. Please cite the source or

sources that you expect to use for your counterargument.

Conclusion

What are the proposed solutions, remedies, and future developments related to your

topic? Have you found any sources which point to ways of correcting, resolving, or bringing an

end to the problem you have discussed? Please give your proposed solutions to the issues

you've studied here.
