Utilitarian Calculus Activity
Instructions: Let us assume you are a politician with 10 million pesos of public funds on hand.
With that money, you have two options: to use it for your own or to use it to build a school for a
remote village in Dumaguete City. Determine which action is moral using the three factors of the
utilitarian calculus we discussed in class. Explain the morality of the action one factor at a time
and then make a conclusion afterwards similar to what we did during our lecture.
