Introductory Activity (____ 1. Prayer
minutes). 2. MOL
3. Checking of Attendance
Activity/Strategy (____ You Complete Me!
minutes). The teacher will let the students listen songs. They will then try to
complete the missing lyrics of the song. After a given time, they are to
raise their cards. The group who gets the answer correctly will receive 1
point.

After they have guessed it, the whole line of the song will be presented in
the class.

( The song to be played are those with lyrics that has literary elements
present)

Analysis (____ minutes). The students will then answer the following questions;
1. How do you find the activity?
2. What have you observed in the lines?
3. What are the literary elements present?
4. How these elements help convey the message of the song?
5. Can these literary elements be used in sharing your experiences?

Abstraction (____ minutes). The teacher will facilitate the discussion of the following concepts;

1. Non-fiction literary elements

Application (____ minutes). What am I to you?

Strips of paper will be rolled with words written in them. The students will
pick one and will share what the word is to him/her or describe it.

Example
School – My school is a home. / My school is clean and is filled with
colorful flowers, towering trees …

Write, Tell & Identify!

With the use of the literary elements, the students will write a paragraph of
5-8 sentences sharing their notable experiences in life.
After the given time, they will share it to their pairs. 4-6 students will share
it to the class and the classmates will take down notes the literary elements
used.

(The teacher will then solicit and inject the important value/importance of
literary elements in sharing one’s experiences)

The students will answer the following question.

Revise and re-write the sentences to make it more vivid and descriptive.

2. The wind breeze touches my skin.
3. The house is big.
4. The lady is beautiful.
5. I smell coffee.
