VALUES EDUCATION

Questions:

Direction: Discuss briefly:

(5 points each)

1. Values Education is the responsibility of us all.

ANSWER:
Values education makes us aware of the consequences of our
actions on the planet and instils in us a respect for nature. We need to
minimize health risks by encouraging the right attitudes and tackling health
education from a dynamic, personal and collective point of view. Values
education is the responsibility of us all to ensure that people can access
quality education. Therefore, the main responsibilities of educated people to
the society are contributing to the development of various spheres of the
society, imparting knowledge to the younger generation, and achieving
personal success in accordance with their own expectations.
The importance of Values Education is to teach universal values
like moral values, patience, honesty, etc., to the students. The purpose of
value education is the development of the personality of the student.
2. Do you agree that “anything legal is also ethical?
Justify your answer.
ANSWER:
Legal standards are based on written law, while ethical standards
are based on human rights and wrongs. Something can be legal but not
ethical. Legal standards are written by government officials, while ethical
standards are written by societal norms. The fact that something is legal
doesn't make it ethical. Breaking promises is generally legal, but is widely
thought of as unethical; Cheating on your husband or wife or boyfriend or
girlfriend is legal, but unethical, though the rule against it is perhaps more
honored in the breach. some issues that have both ethical and legal
components include: for example, Access to medical care. Informed
consent. Confidentiality and exceptions to confidentiality.

values, which of these is your number1 and why?

determination. Determination I am committing to something and you
want to finish it. I am working hard and thinking. I value
determination because it is important to work hard and have

5. Godliness is NOT synonymous with being a religious.

Explain.
EXPLAIN:

Why is godliness not synonymous with being religious? The two

terms are relatively close, but have different emphases. The term “godly”
implies a respect for God, which is an attitude. “Religious” implies more
specifically adherence to some practice, which has more to do with
behavior. Godly is of or pertaining to a god while religious is concerning
religion.
