Installation

The process for installing ONYX X10.2.5 as a clean install, or on top of a previous version are very similar and
will both be covered. If running version 7.3.2 or newer, you may install versionX10.2.5 without uninstalling
the older version first. Version 7.x will remain intact as a separate install on your system. Any version prior to
7.3.2 may require a fresh install. If version X10, X10.1, or X10.2 is installed, it will be updated to X10.2.5.

ONYX X10.2.5 can be installed from either a disc or a download. The download can be found at
www.onyxgfx.com/downloads under Products. Download the utility, X10 Download Manager. This is a
pausable/resumable utility that can download version X10, X10.1, X10.2, or X10.2.5. The file downloaded is a
self-extracting executable file. This means that it will unpack the install files to a location on your hard drive
and then automatically run the installation.

Note: This download does not include any Printer Install Files. If installing on top of an older version, the
printers will automatically be updated to the base version of X10.2.5. If updating to X10.2.5 to resolve a
specific printer issue, you will also need to update the printer driver by following the next step regarding
the Printer and Profile Download Manager. If you are clean installing, or need to install a new printer, you
will need to download and install the Printer and Profile Download Manager which can be downloaded at
www.onyxgfx.com/downloads under Drivers and Profiles. This utility is used to download printer drivers and
media profiles in one file called a Printer Install File or .prninst

Once you have either an ONYX X10.2.5 disc or download, and have updated your key, you are ready to
proceed with the installation. First, plug your hardware key into your computer and close all the ONYX
software. Next, run the downloaded file, or disc to begin the installation. Read and Accept the End User
License Agreement to proceed with the installation.
