BOOTH COMPETITION
RULES AND REGULATIONS
PARTICIPATION
Each booth will be represented by one (1) Lecture.
PREPARATION:
1. When doing preparation at the booth, all students must wear smart casual or sports
attire. Slippers and round neck t-shirts are NOT allowed.
2. All costs for ACF 2023 are borne by the students.
3. Students must adhere strictly to the time stated in the schedule for preparation.
4. Failure to adhere to the rules and regulations will cause your lecture to be penalised.

Note: All booths must be “show ready” no later than 8.45am on Friday, February 24th – NO
EXCEPTIONS. If your booth is not setup by then, your lecture’s participation is automatically
disqualified.
24 FEB 2023
Note: Exhibitor booths must be cleared right after the event to make way for Fashion Show
preparation.
JUDGING CRITERIA
CRITERIA EXPLANATION
1. Content (30%) Comprises of all the information stated above based on the
country and SDG themes.
2. Delivery (20%) Presents very fluent speech with occasional speech and very
confidently in delivery.
3. Language (30%) Demonstrates good command of the language, uses wide
variety of sentence forms, appropriate and varied vocabulary,
and pronunciation is clear.
4. Creativity (20%) Consists of catchy display, attention-grabbing, efficient use of
resources and booth area is neat and clean.

PRIZES
Only five (5) winners with the highest cumulative marks will be selected as winners. Prizes
are as follows:
PARTICIPATION
Each team will be represented by one (1) individual regardless of gender to be the model
for the fashion show. The model (he/she) must be a representative from the lecture group.
Each costume must be described in about 50 words by another member of the team during
the runway.
1. All the teams will have their own individual theme. All costume should depict the
theme of their respective SDG country.
2. Performance time would be minimum 2 minutes and maximum 3 minutes. Points will
be deducted for exceeding the time limit.
3. Each team has to bring their own costumes and props. No props, costumes and
supporting staff will be provided by the organiser.
4. Each team has to provide their own runway soundtrack and must be given to the
person in-charge a week before the festival.
5. Professional make-up artist or choreographer is not provided but could be hired (Cost
is borne by respective team).
6. Use of hazardous/inflammable materials like candles, matches, cigarettes, alcohol
and other hazardous material on stage is strictly prohibited.
7. Costumes should be syariah-compliant. Vulgarity of any kind would lead to
immediate disqualification of team from the event. Hence, if the team feels that any
stunt of costume design can be deemed as vulgar, it is strongly advised to consult
the organisers than performing it directly on stage.
8. Costumes must not resemble any religious belief (e.g.: wearing/carrying the cross
sign).
JUDGING CRITERIA
CRITERIA EXPLANATION
1. Costume The creativity of the costume according to the given theme. It
should also be unique from the rest and new to the eyes.
2. Walking Style The confidence of the contestant in facing the judges and the
crowd to show his/her newly innovative designs.
3. Originality The fashion wear should be designed specifically for the
purpose of the show. Judges should see to it that the work
was original and was not copied from the work of the other.
4. Relevance to the The fashion wear should be relevant to the theme given.

5. Description Meaning comes across clearly with varied and appropriate
vocabulary.

2. The doodle should depict the theme “Culture of the World” – according to your
respective country.
3. The doodle should only consist of ONE page of A3 paper in white.
4. Participants are allowed to doodle in black and white or in colours.
5. All costs and expenses shall be fully borne by the participants.
6. All entries must be the original works and no part or component thereof is copied
from any other work or material.
7. All doodle must include a tagline.
8. The language MUST be in English. If the country’s native language is used, a
translation in English must accompany.
9. Sensitive issues regarding Religions and Races are prohibited.
10. Improper language and mannerism are to be avoided.
11. The participants must be responsible on the quality of the doodle submitted. Poor
quality will affect the judging.
12. Late submission will not be tolerated.
13. Any participant found violating rules and regulation will be disqualified from
competition.
JUDGING CRITERIA
CRITERIA EXPLANATION
3.1 Originality – 30% Judges should see to it that the work is original and is not copied
from the work of the others.
3.2 Creativity – 30% The creativity of the doodle is according to the given theme.
3.3 Language – 10% The choice of vocabulary, the spelling, and the correct
grammatical verses are suitable for the doodle.
3.4 Relevance to the The doodle supports the given theme and contains a message that
theme – 30% is appropriate for all levels of society.

Only three (3) best doodles with the highest cumulative marks will be rewarded. Prizes are
as follows:
SUBMISSIONS
1. Your final doodle must be displayed on the event day (24 February 2023) in your
respective booth.
2. Participants’ names, lecture group and program must be written at the back of the
doodle entry.
