Network Security Engineer

DUTIES:
 Gathering and documenting existing client network and device information into a workbook that will be
leveraged to develop the migration plan.
 Support FW & NW engineering in the development of the Engineering Work Order (EWO) & Firewall
Changes.
 Entry Level experience with network engineering and architecture skills.
 Ability to support a team of network engineers and client accounts in the network transformation effort.
 Strong requirements gathering and documentation of network environments.
 Respond to requests for technical information from Lead Engineers.
 Travel may be required

REQUIRED:
 Formal network education (CCNA desired, or higher education) or at least 3 years’ experience in network
engineering and documentation.
 Expert level capabilities within the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Excel and Visio.
 Knowledge of IP, including TCP, UDP, NATing, OSPF, and BGP.
 Knowledge of IOS stack layer 1, 2, 3
 Candidates should be located in Toronto or Calgary (Canada).
 Technical Skills (Some or All)
- Cisco – Routers / Switches
- Knowledge of non-Cisco products (H3C, ProCurve, Juniper)
- Trunking – 802.1q / VLAN
- MPLS
- Spanning Tree Protocol – STP / RST / MSTP
- Cisco PIX/ASA Firewalls and/or Checkpoint firewalls
- SSL and IPSEC VPNs
- OSPF / EIGRP / BGP / RIP
- F5 Load Balancing
- Packet Analysis tools including WireShark or Netscout
- TACACS/RADIUS
- Linux experience desired
 Other requirements
- Knowledge of network security products
- Documentation skills
- Willing to work overtime and nights/weekends as needed to support changes
- Ability to travel locally as needed.

EDUCATION:
HS diploma or equivalent required
