The Chancellor and invited guests leave the University at their own
pleasure.

DOCTORAL DEGREES

The Deans, School of Visual and Performing Arts, Applied Human Sciences,
Environmental Studies, Pure and Applied Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and
- Education, respectively, present candidates for the conferment of the Degree of Doctor of
Philosophy of Kenyatta University.

(As the respective Deans read the names, the candidates are escorted by their supervisors
to the Chancellor's dais. They will kneel, be capped and stand back in a line for the
conferment of the degrees)

The Chancellor will confer the various Doctor of Philosophy Degrees by


saying "I admit the persons presented to me to the Degree of Doctor of
Philosophy, and by my authority and that of the entire University give power
to read and to do all that appertains to this Degree"

(Then the graduates will bow/curtsy and go back to their seats)
