Valentine’s is always celebrated on
the 14th of February every year in
honor of the martyr ‘Saint Valentine’
of Rome, who is commonly
associated with "courtly love."
Valentine was imprisoned and killed
for marrying a Christian couple which
was a crime then, while in prison St
Valentine fell in love with his jailer’s
daughter and sent her a love letter
signed ‘from your Valentine’ on
February 14, the day of his
execution, as a goodbye.
Two wings without a
Strictly speaking, the phrase I
expressed in a convenient form that
should be the abiding reciprocity of
relation between two lovers as part of
the matrimonial covenant, is not that
a man and a woman establish
between themselves a loving
partnership for the whole of life,
honestly, love may fade by its
nature.
However, the order toward the good
of the spouses’ procreation is the
education of offspring. At all costs, I
believe separation or divorce should
be forsaken primarily because the
kids have to learn from both parents’
ideologies. I say raising a child alone
is like “two wings without a body’.
Unfortunately, we live in a society
that benefits from separation. The
celebration of this sacrament is an
opportunity for the deepening of the
authority who are willing and
interested to witness the share and
devaluing of the family assets and
possibly trade off on the kids.
