(2) Transmission pump (Transmission charging and scavenge)

Transmission pump (2) is located on the front of the transmission case. Transmission pump (2) is a
two-section pump that contains a charging section and a scavenge section. The scavenge section
transfers oil from the transmission sump to the differential for lubrication. The charging section
transfers oil from the differential sump scavenge for use as pressure oil in the operation of the
transmission.

The magnetic screen filter (1) for the transmission charge pump (2) is located on the end of the
transmission pump. Filter (1) is used to filter the charge oil from the differential.

(3) Magnetic screen (transmission scavenge pump section)

The magnetic screen filter (3) for the transmission scavenge pump (2) is located just below the
transmission pump. Filter (3) is used to filter the oil that is transferred to the differential.

(4) Transmission oil filter

Transmission oil filter (4) is located in the rear right portion of the machine. Transmission oil filter (4)
is used to filter the oil that flows from transmission pump (2) to transmission control valve (8) .

Transmission Oil Cooler

(5) Transmission oil cooler

Transmission oil cooler (5) is mounted next to the radiator on the lower half of the radiator.
Transmission oil cooler (5) uses air in order to cool the transmission oil. The cooled oil is used for the
transmission lubrication.

Transmission Control Valve Group

Transmission control valve group (7) is located on the left side of the transmission case at the rear of
the machine. Transmission control valve group (7) provides oil flow at the correct pressure and at the
proper time in order to engage the desired clutch packs. There are eight transmission control valves.

Transmission control

The transmission control (10) is located on the right side of the operator in the operator compartment.
The transmission control (10) directs an electrical signal to the transmission ECM. The transmission
control is used to control the following transmission speeds and directions:

• Park

• Neutral

• First speed forward through eighth speed forward

• First speed reverse through sixth speed reverse

(11) Differential lock valve

Differential lock valve (11) is located on the pinion housing. Differential lock valve (11) is a solenoid
activated hydraulic valve that directs power train oil to the differential lock.

Rear axle (16) is located in front of the transmission. The rear axle is composed of the bevel gear and
the differential. The bevel gear and the differential transfer power to the final drives in order to be
delivered to the wheels.

(21) Wheel group

Tandem (19) is located on the left side and located on the right side of the machine. The chain
assembly is located inside tandem (19) . The chain assembly transfers the power from final drive (18)
to wheel groups (21) . Chain assembly (20) is composed of two set of chains in each tandem. Final
drives (18) are bolted to the inside of tandem (19) . Wheel groups (21) are bolted to the outside of
tandem (19) .
