Arpaci-Dusseau & Arpaci-Dusseau (2012) mention that developing a virtual environment (rather
than physical) of something, such as an operating system, server, storage device, or network
resources, called virtualization. The use of software to enable part of the hardware to run
multiple operating system images concurrently is called operating system virtualization.
Virtualization takes a single processor and makes it appear to system applications as if it were
multiple virtual processors. Thus, while each application believes it has its own processor, only
one.

As a result, the operating system created a beautiful illusion: you virtualize CPU(Arpaci-
Dusseau & Arpaci-Dusseau, 2012).A "virtual machine" (VM) is a container of software that is
tightly closed to the operating system and The application runs on a virtual computer system.
When multiple virtual machines (VMs) are installed on a single computer and running different
applications and operating systems on a single computer physical server or "server", the term
"virtualization" is used. Each virtual machine is independent and autonomous (Arpaci-Dusseau
& Arpaci-Dusseau, 2012).

In a nutshell, an operating system turns a physical resource (such as a processor, memory, or

disk) into generic, more powerful and user-friendly virtual version of itself. Therefore, activity
The system is sometimes called a virtual machine. Virtualization and virtual machines can
increase IT agility, flexibility, and scalability while saving money. Benefits of virtualization
include increased workload mobility, increased resources performance, availability, and
automated operations, making IT
