ISLAMIC MARKETING
The Question
Each group will prepare a report on Islamic marketing activities for a selected
company. In doing this assignment, each group needs to:
a. Select a company that is of interest to the group and where there is detailed
information available about the company’s operation.
b. Interview the manager/owner/top level of management of the company
regarding their marketing practice.
c. Identify Islamic marketing mix practices by the company. (You may also
analyse their website, promotional items, etc.)
d. Questionnaire:
i. What are the marketing methods currently applied by the organization?
ii. Are the marketing methods effective?
iii. Are there any suggestions to improve the marketing methods currently
practiced?
iv. What is their view on Islamic marketing?
v. To what extent is the appropriateness of Islamic marketing applied in the
current context?
vi. Is there a suggestion to further strengthen it to comply with the current
requirements?
vii. Is there an opportunity to apply Islamic marketing in their organization?
viii. Does the organization apply the "positioning" method for products and
services? Describe.
ix. Have they ever encountered or had any experience related to
marketing ethics?

2. Each group needs to present their Islamic Marketing Report in class on WEEK 12
10/03/2023 (20 minutes). Each group needs to submit a report after their
presentation session.
1. Report framework:
a. Cover page
b. Table of contents
c. Introduction
i. Describe the purpose of this report.
ii. Background of the company (including product offering)
iii. Background of the person being interviewed
d. current marketing strategy applied.
e. Perception on Islamic marketing.
f. Islamic Marketing Mix applied by the company
g. SWOT analysis (based on Islamic marketing mix)
h. Positioning strategy
i. Marketing ethics
j. Suggestions for improvement (student may suggest to the company
based on their current marketing practices)
k. Conclusion
l. References
m. Appendix (photo interview session and other relevant material such as
flyers, website, promotion, etc.)
2. The font must be ARIAL size 11 (content), and the paragraph needs to be
formatted “justify”, with 1.5 spacing.
