    Talibonhon Grabs Silver for WCOPA

    Boholano singer won the silver medal for the annual 25 th World Championship of Performing
    Arts (WCOPA) held at Anaheim, California USA on July 22 – 30 which was participated by 60 countries.

    Leoniso Polestico Simbajon, a 35-year old vocalist of San Agustin, Talibon, Bohol participated in
    the World Championships of Performing Arts along with other fellow artists from Bohol and Cebu.
    Simbajon earned the silver medal in the Senior Vocal Solo - Pop Category.

    WCOPA is a global competition known as “World Talent Olympics" aimed at selecting the best
    talents in dancing, singing, modelling, instrumentals, acting and variety arts. Philippines first participated
    in 2005. The competition was moved to virtual due to COVID-19.

    “Sa mga kabatan-onan nga naay mga talento labi na sa pagkanta hinaut nga dili sila mauwaw
    nga mupakita sa ilahang talent. Dili muhunong sa pagkab-ot sa damgo bisan pa man sa mga challenges
    sa kinabuhi nga imong na experienced, himoa hinuon kining inspirasyon sa pagkab-ot inubanan sa pag
    ampo ug pagsalig sa labawng makagagahum. Kada perform nimo always remember, sing not to impress
    but to inspire people.”said Simbajon.
