 According to some known philosophers such as Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato, there are

instances where death penalty would seem appropriate.

 I agree with death penalty as long as the persons or criminals being punished with this
penalty have done unforgivable crimes such as murder, homicide, or rape.

 This penalty represents a just retribution for crimes that are inhumane. People that have
done NUMEROUS killings, rape, and such have no chances of change. Therefore, these
people should be sentenced to death penalty.

 They say death penalty puts innocent lives at risk, but doesn’t letting those heartless
criminals live and kill more people puts more innocent lives at risk?

 The society we live today is a society where obedience to the law is only a choice, where in
fact, it is our duty, as a citizen to abide by the law.

 Death penalty deters crime. Nothing will deter a criminal than a fear of death. Life behind
bars is less feared.

 Here in our country, even infants get raped, even women that are fully covered are raped,
yet death penalty isn’t implemented on those people because it’s inhumane? How do you
expect the family of the victims to move on and go with life?

 The death penalty will allow the legal system of the Philippines to improve their ways in
convicting criminals. Death penalty is a serious issue and to avoid putting an innocent
person on the death row, the legal system of this country will be inspired to seek out the real
truth.

 We should all know the difference between death penalty and extrajudicial executions. I
think many people would oppose death penalty because the idea they have in mind is the
idea of extrajudicial executions. Extrajudicial executions are carried without the due process
of law. Such examples were those killings before 2020 during the drug war campaign.

 In article 3, section 1 of the 1987 constitution, it is stated that no person shall be deprived of
life, liberty, or property WITHOUT DUE PROCESS OF LAW. Moreover, in the article 3
section 19 of our 1987 constitution, which was already abolished, it was stated the DEATH
PENALTY SHALL NOT BE IMPOSED, UNLESS, FOR COMPELLING REASONS
INVOLVING HEINOUS CRIMES, THE CONGRESS HEREAFTER PROVIDES FOR IT.
Meaning, death penalty is possible on heinous crimes such as murder and rape ONLY
WITH THE DUE PROCESS OF LAW.
