Subject: AMENDMENT TO HOSPITAL ORDER NO. 2019-04 OR THE REVISED VISION,


MISSION AND CORE VALUES OF THE BATANES GENERAL HOSPITAL

Our journey towards the implementation of the Performance Governance System


(PGS) has started since our core group had undergone the orientation and workshop
last September 25-26, 2019. As a result of this activity, top management agreed to
adopt the proposed modification on our vision statement to better address the health
needs of our community.

Thus, the vision statement under Hospital Order No. 2019-04 dated September 4,
2019 is hereby amended as follows:

FROM TO
A Level 2 and trauma receiving hospital A Level 2 hospital providing accessible,

All other provisions of Hospital Order No. 2019-04 dated September 04, 2019
shall remain in full force and effect.

This Order shall take effect immediately.

Subject: REVISED VISION, MISSION AND CORE VALUES OF THE BATANES


GENERAL HOSPITAL

In Department Order No. 2019-036 dated February 28, 2019 or the


implementing guidelines of Performance Governance System (PGS) and the Office
Performance Commitment and Review, DOH identified the implementation of PGS as
one of its strategy towards the attainment of its vision, mission and goals.

Accordingly, PGS is a holistic and collaborative framework for institutionalizing a


new culture of governance which focuses on the attainment of long term vision and
translates this to actionable strategies and commitments leading to the realization of
breakthrough results.

As part of our journey towards the implementation of PGS come 2020 and
relative to the mandate of the BGH to upgrade its services to become Level 2 and a
trauma receiving facility, management revisited its vision, mission and core values to
redefine the overall direction of the organization and eventually facilitating the
establishment of a concrete, realistic and doable strategy map.

A. VISION
A Level 2 and trauma receiving hospital providing equitable, holistic and quality
health services by 2022.

B. MISSION
We are committed to competence with integrity in delivering comprehensive,
innovative patient-centered health services in collaboration and partnership with
government and non-government organizations.

C. CORE VALUES
The core values of the Batanes General Hospital shall retain the acronym of WE
CARE but introduces few modifications on its meaning and attributes.

WE shall signify the collective efforts of the BGH Family to provide holistic,
equitable and quality healthcare services to all its clients, and CARE which
connotes our quest to become Client-oriented, Accountable, Reliable and sustain
Excellence in our workplace.

Client-oriented
We recognize that every patient is the primary essence of our existence. As
such, we shall endeavor to give our utmost knowledge, skills and dedication to
serve our patients. We will be proactive in anticipating their needs and be one
with the goal of our organization to provide the best health services.

Accountable
Every employee in the organization has its own duties and responsibilities to
undertake. We will assure our commitment and initiative to perform effectively the
functions expected of us and shall take full responsibility of all our actions and
decisions in the execution therewith. We endeavor to value our time and skills to
work with diligence and compassion to achieve the vision and mission of the
organization.

Reliable
We take pride that being a BGH employee is an insurmountable privilege given
by the institution to serve and promote the well-being of our patients. We will
strive to uphold teamwork, professionalism and integrity to gain and sustain the
trust of our patients and co-workers. We will continuously aim for personal and
professional development to become competent and productive members of the
organization.

Excellence
We shall strive to demonstrate our performance and character in accordance with
the highest norms and standards of being a public servant and public health
worker. We will uphold the ideals of a true public servant in exemplifying hard
work, commitment and develop the culture of excellence in every task that we do.

D. QUALITY POLICY

The Quality Policy of the Batanes General Hospital shall remain as follows:

We, the management and employees of Batanes General Hospital, are


committed to deliver excellent healthcare services adhering to statutory and
regulatory requirements.

We shall likewise continually improve our quality management system by


integrating programs to existing processes as breakthrough opportunities
beneficial to our organization and the community.

All Section Heads or Department Heads shall cause the widest dissemination of
the revised policy directions to their respective areas and ensure alignment of
programs, projects or activities undertaken thereof.

Hospital Order No. 2018-10 dated July 10, 2018 is hereby repealed.

This order shall take effect on October 01, 2019 .
