Reflection Paper

Synthesis about the 6 Pillars of Augustinian Institution and LCUP 6 CORE Values.

Learning the different core values LCUP has been the trademark of every Augustinian student. But I myself as a
one of their medical students. It is important to know about the mission and vision of the school because these
values are the ones we will keep even after we leave our alma mater. A brand that will be known by others.

Firstly, a community-oriented student concentrates on aiding others. Working together, sharing moments,
offering help to anyone who needs it. To think as a society and not just an in dividual, which will share the
importance of establishing a relationship with each other to understand, cooperate, and appreciate.

To motivate others even when they are suffering. Or even relate it to yourself so that you’ll understand
someone’s struggles. Compassion is one of the essential values that show your sympathy and empathy in
combination that can overwhelm the feelings of others. This can help to make others feel better about their
selves.

The qualities of being humble. Humility is all about understanding your self-worth. Not to be arrogant and learn
acceptance. Letting others know that you can support each other even if they are both different.

In times of hardship and problems. Courage is what we need, as we hold on and believe that things can get better
soon. But it can also be a way of sacrifice to put yourself first in times of suffering, being brave in the face of
danger. For I think having strength is to protect others.

To open up yourself and letting yourself learn. Our interiority not only defines who we are. But also, what we
want to be. For our character is who defines us. This value is accompanied with your faith and dedication. It’s
more of having a mission to serve and commit. Partially our missionary spirit is to be influenced by it. To
believe in what is not to be seen but felt in our hearts. The divine intervention that guides us in our daily lives.
The one we offer our prayers and wishes for the common good of everyone. We glorify him and praise him for
all the things he has done to us.

The importance of the 6 Pillars of Augustinian institution is that the values circulate between each other as a core in
theology and religion. This is essential for the goals of an academic foundation that they able to teach the ways and
ethics to their students. This even applies to the daily life of the person who understands the importance of this pillar
which can reflect on how they appreciate each situation in their life. How they can adjust to their learnings and turn
it into a healthy and beautiful life. One can apply their humility, courage, interiority, compassion and community-
oriented learning to incorporate in their lives.
