 Illustrate the different parts of the Badminton Racket.

1. Head- it is located above the shaft of the racket wherein it encases the strings that
are attached to it. The head is an important part of the racket mainly because it
helps in creating a good speed of the shuttlecock when hit.

2. Shaft- the shaft is a piece of metal that has little thickness, and it is located
between the head and the grip of the racket. It helps in generating a whip action
when hitting the shuttlecock.
3. Grip- It is where you hold the racket when playing the game. There are actually
different types of racket grip in order for you to become comfortable in hitting the
shuttlecock, these are the forehand grip, backhand grip, and change grip.

 What are the things that you have observed in the video?
- In playing badminton, we should be reminded that the type of badminton racket that
you choose can affect your performance may it be in a positive way or negative way.
I observed that Coach Kennie has provided a protection for her grip, like putting an
electrical tape around the grip first, because as what she said the wood behind the
plastic and the grip that is already attached to it may break because of the moist and
even the sweat that comes from the hands or fingers. Another thing I observed is the
position of her hand when gripping the racket. It should be in a relaxed grip, and not a
very tight one in order to not experience pain in your forearm, elbow, and even up to
the shoulder. I observed also that when you grip the racket too high, the base of the
handle will just hit your forearm and that can limit your movement (singles and
regular play). And when you hold it too low, the racket will just fall off from your
hand.
