Safety is a primary requirement for the well-being of employees of an organization. It

should aim at the highest degree of physical, mental, and social well-being at work. For
the improvement of safety in an organization, the following steps are needed to comply
with the safety requirements and alignment with standards.

1. Safety Meeting – The safety meeting gives the idea for the improvement in the level
of the general safety plan, it provides a platform where workers can interact with
representatives of management on issues bordering their safety while at work. Hence,
the discussion on each matter is dealt with the best solutions.

2. Meeting agenda/subject – for these safety meetings, the agenda, and its discussion
points are needed to pre-plan, the agenda of the meeting is for the purpose of health &
safety.

3. Accident / Incident – Accident/incident reporting, near-miss reporting, and

investigation of each unsafe activity are necessary for safety improvement.

4. First aid cases – Cases requiring first aid, cause for first aid, and type of first aid
treatment given.

5. Personal Protective Equipment – Personal protective equipment requirements for

the activity of each work process, and awareness of the workers for the use of personal
protective equipment are also very important.

6. Suggestions – Feedback and comments are very important for health, safety, and
environmental issues, management can have an idea of the general health and safety
performance and decisions can be made if required.
