1. Bus 2 (for each of the two cases – B52 closed and open).

Bus Number Line-Ground Fault Current

(B52 Closed)

Bus 1 9208.808 kA

Bus 2 15.914 kA

Bus 3 21.628 kA

Bus 4 35.924 kA

Bus 5 31.687 kA

Bus Number B52 Status Line-Ground Fault 3-Phase Fault

Current Current

Bus 2 Closed 15.914 kA 20.433 kA

Bus 2 Open 5.122 kA 7.792 kA

2. Due to the neutral grounding reactance of Gen1, the fault current will be significantly

during a fault at bus 1 because a fault at this location will disconnect the bus from all

solid ground points in the system. In addition, the fault current during a fault at Bus 2

should be the lowest because the HV sides of T1 and T2 are both solidly grounded.

3. Values were not very close to fault results. No loads and line values were used, only Tx

and Gx values. All fault types were calculated.
