 “Nora Elementary serves a diverse population of
students. Our K-5 school is located in the heart of
Indianapolis, and it is home to 520 students from a
variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds. We have
over 20 different languages spoken by our students
and families, and for almost half of our population,
English is not their native language. Our students and
staff get to learn each day from the unique
experiences and perspectives that our diverse

Purpose

The purpose of the School Improvement Plan is to

evaluate the effectiveness of our initiatives, develop goals
based on data analysis, establish priority for improvement,
identify strategies and create an action plan for
deployment. Mission Statement
The mission of Washington Township Schools is to
develop lifelong learners and globally-minded citizens by
fostering the academic, creative, and social skills needed
to achieve excellence in a multicultural environment.
