    Aim

    The main aim of this study is to conduct feasibility analysis on electrification of commercial
    class N3 heavy duty trucks weighing above 12 tones.

    Objectives

    The objectives of this study includes

    1. To understand the key factors and its importance of influencing the electrification of class
    N3 heavy duty trucks
    2. To perform a case study analysis on electrification of class N3 heavy duty trucks
    travelling from Manchester to London
    3. To conduct the Total Cost of ownership analysis on electrification of class N3 heavy duty
    vehicles
    4. To provide strategic recommendations to avoid barriers for electrification of heavy duty
    vehicles

    1. Is electrification a feasible approach for commercial heavy good vehicle transport in


    UK which is responsible for increasing CO2 emission?
    2. What kind of charging systems are feasible for short/long term for mobility of heavy
    duty trucks?
