What’s New

Look at the pictures below.

Do you know what are these? Can you name them?
Have you tried using these gadgets?

With our modern technologies nowadays, we often use these gadgets.

Computers, laptops/netbooks and cellphones to make our works faster and easier.

What is It

You need to know this!

Artist used different kinds of materials like,
pencils, chalks and pens to create their artwork. These
are also available in various colors. Some are
comfortable using traditional art medium while others
prefer to combine it with new technologies like
computers or other electronic gadgets.
How about you? Have you tried drawing using a pencil
and sketchbook, copy it using a scanner, then use your
computer to add other details? After printing it, you may
also cut and paste or craft materials on it. Another option is to use the new
technologies from the start to finish an art processes like drawing and painting.
Technology today has been changing the traditional on art. It has given us
new and various ways to create music, paintings, poetry , and sculpture. However,
it is still the human mind that will always be at the edge of art, regulating the tools
to produce the artist’s vision.

3
It has not only made art more reachable to its audience, but also to the artists.
Painters no longer have to carry their supplies around with them if they want to
create an image outside the studio. They can
utilize their smartphones, tablets, or laptops
easily, open the chosen programs/software
and their fingers as brushes to create
masterful paintings and instantaneously allow
them to finish their piece.
Despite these changes brought about
computer technology, the same artistic
thinking and skills are applied. Regardless of
the tools being used in creating artwork,
important aspects of art: elements, principles
and processes still remain.
The lines, shapes, colors, space and textures are still very important to
make the artwork great even with the use of
technologies. These elements of art are used as
quality ingredients in artwork. Furthermore,
these elements can be arranged in a work to
produce harmony, contrast, and emphasis.
Nowadays, computer has been a great help
in people’s daily lives. One of which is the digital
art. Digital art can be defined as any art or
drawings made on paper that are scanned and
changed in any way or photographs that are
modified with the help of a computer. It includes
a range of artistic works that use digital technology. 3-D characters using a computer
are examples of digital art.
When a photograph is accessed, created, or
stored in the form of digital signals using
computer technology, it is considered to be a
digital. Artwork that is done or produced with the use of
computer is digital art.
There are many different software
programs and tools available. Digital artists use variety
of techniques and computer hardware to draw, paint,
and produce artworks using digital technology. Some kinds of digital art are graphic,
illustrations, adobe, photoshop, digital photo artwork, digital painting, GIMP, and
inkscape.
How about you? Have you tried making an artwork? Do you still use the traditional
way of making it or with the use of the new technologies today?
