Steps for NBI Clearance Renewal/ New Applicant

Step 1. Go to the NBI clearance website at https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/

Read the Data Privacy Statement and then select the "I Agree" option. Click Close
when you've finished reading the subsequent reminders.

Step 2. Register and create an account

To apply for the free NBI clearance if you are a first-time job seeker, click the yellow
box labeled First Time Jobseekers. Otherwise, just proceed to the regular
application process.

Complete the registration process. Double-check the accuracy of all of your


personal information before submitting. After you read it, accept the terms and
conditions by clicking the checkbox. Then check the box saying, "I'm not a robot" to
prove your identity. Once done, click "Sign Up."
Step 3. Type in the OTP sent to your registered mobile number

The One-time Password or OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, f there
is No One Time Password (OTP) has been sent? Click RE-SEND OTP (OTP) to send
another OTP.

Click Submit after inputting the numbers.

Step 4. Log in to your NBI Clearance online account

Input the email and password you provided during registration and login into your
account.

Step 5. Complete the NBI clearance Application form

The Applicant Information page appears after you sign in, and here is where you
submit need more personal information such as your middle name, civil status,
birthplace, and residence, among other things.

Do not forget to fill in the fields marked with a red asterisk.

At the bottom of the page, click the Save Information option. Once sure with all the
information entered, click "Submit."

Step 6. Click "Apply for Clearance"

After saving your personal information, click the "Apply for Clearance" button at the
top of the screen (if you are on a mobile device) or in the upper right corner of the
page (for desktop or laptop users).

Step 7. Input the type of ID and ID number that you'll bring for the NBI Clearance
Appointment

A pop-up window will require you to provide the sort of valid ID (and its ID number)
that you plan to bring for verification. Bring at least two forms of identification with
you on your appointment schedule.

Step 8. Select the NBI Clearance branch (NBI CLEARANCE CENTER (UN AVE))

You can select NBI CLEARANCE CENTER (UN AVE), set your appointment time, and
date (AM or PM). Boxes marked with a shade of blue indicate open spots.

Step 9. Pick a payment option

You can pay your NBI Clearance fee either over-the-counter, Online Banking,
Bayad Center Outlets, Bayad Center Mobile, ECPay, 7-Eleven, Visa/Mastercard, or
through GCash.
Following your selection of a payment method, you will be presented with a pop-up
box with step-by-step directions on how to pay the cost. To go on to the next step,
click Proceed

Step 10. Pay your NBI Clearance fee

The fee for a multi-purpose NBI clearance is Php 130. Using the e-payment service
comes with a Php 25 charge. Do not forget to take note of the reference number
that you will use for paying your NBI Clearance Online.

Step 11. Go to NBI Booth in PUP for biometrics and photo capturing

On the day of your set appointment, go to the NBI Booth in PUP. Do not forget to
bring the requirements, application form, and reference number. NBI personnel for
biometric scanning (fingerprint) and photo capturing will then assist you .

Step 12. Claim your NBI Clearance

Your NBI clearance will be available for release in only a few minutes if there is no
"hit" meaning you do not have a namesake who is participating in any dubious
behavior. Otherwise, they will ask you to come back in a few days.

****NBI Clearance issued only has a validity of one (1) year.


Guidelines for First Time Job Seekers

No fees or charges shall be collected from Filipino citizen who is actively


seeking employment, locally or abroad, for the first time as certified by the
barangay of which he/she is a resident for last 6 months.

Note: The First Time Job Seekers may avail the benefits only once, and for
one copy of every documents or transaction only.

REQUIREMENTS:

3. A Barangay Certificate from your place of residence stating that you are a First
Time Job Seeker with oath of undertaking.

4. Any two (2) valid government issued ID’s such as:

 Valid Passport
 Birth Certificate (Authenticated by PSA)
 Driver’s License
 UMID (SSS and GSIS)
 TIN ID
 PhilHealth ID
 Police Clearance issued by the Police Station where applicant is
a resident of the Station’s jurisdiction.
 Voter’s ID or Certificate of Registration
 PRC License
 Pag-ibig ID (NOT LOYALTY CARD)
 Postal ID
 Solo parent ID
 Seaman’s Book
 School ID together with current registration card

Please keep in mind that Non-Government issued ID’s such as Company ID’s are
NOT ACCEPTED as valid ID’s in processing NBI Clearance.
GUIDELINES:

7. Visit clearance.nbi.gov.ph Link.

Under NBI Clearance e-Services, click First Time Job Seeker or you may
visit directly to the portal link of firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph.

You will see Register as First Time Jobseeker form. Kindly fill up the form
accordingly, check the READ and ACCEPT TERMS OF SERVICES and I’m not a robot.
Then click Sign up.

Omit special characters such as (hyphens, period, comma etc.) on your


name during registration and inform the personnel on day of your appointment. Note
that any suffixes such as Jr., II, III etc. must be at the given name.

8. Enter your NBI One-Time Password (OTP).

After signing up, you will receive a text message from NBI containing a 6
digit One Time Password (OTP) on the mobile number you have indicated in the
registration form. Enter the OTP mentioned within 5 minutes of receiving the message
and click Submit.

9. Sign in and Complete Applicant information.

Review the details and make sure all of the information are entered
correctly and completely. Click Save Information.

10. Enter Valid ID Confirmation.

Click Apply for Clearance, select the types of government ID you will
present at the NBI Clearance Offices. Enter your ID number and click I Agree.

11. Secure NBI Clearance Online Appointment.

After entering your valid ID details, you may now set an appointment
schedule for your personal appearance. You will see the calendar with corresponding
slots. Select NBI CLEARANCE CENTER (UN AVE) and select any date.

Once you’re sure with your appointment date, click “Save to Get
Reference Number”.

You will receive a text message containing the reference number of your
transaction. Take a screenshot of your reference number started with (FR) or write it
down in a piece of paper.

1.2 Present your reference number and the requirements for the First Time Job
Seeker such as barangay clearance with oath of undertaking, birth certificate
(authenticated by PSA) and school ID for the fresh graduated or one valid government
ID’s.
