What is the relationship between Man and Environment?

Man lives in his own environment. His life is affected by the elements
of the environment.

Four basic elements of nature are-

Soil, water, air & light.

The sun is the main source of light and heat.

Trees on soil grown up with the help of water, air and heat.

On the basis of these elements, man’s life on earth has

been possible indeed.
How is man dependent on nature?
At the outset of creation, man was more dependent on nature. He
procured everything from nature to survive.
--------------------- -------------------- ---------------------- ---------------------
 Man used nature to build houses.
 He used soil as a tool for production.
Soil doesn’t increase or decrease but it decays. As a result, the mineral
resources in the soil decreases. The increase or decrease of the
remaining three elements i.e. water, air and heat make man’s life
difficult.

We feel this problem during:

Floods, cyclones, excessive rainfall and drought.

Man cultivated crops, learnt to hunt and cook wild animals, killed ferocious
animals for self-protection, planted trees to protect themselves from different
kinds of natural disasters.

Environmental problems: Causes and Effects

Man is a very intelligent being. By using that intelligence, man made a
lot of things.

Environmental problems-
Sound pollution, water pollution, soil pollution and air pollution.

Causes of environmental problems:

 He has made dams across the rivers.
 He has used the current of water to move machines.
 He made large mills and factories, built cities, driving cars and other
vehicles.
 He increased his own comfort by making air conditioners.
 He started to cut down hills to make bricks.
 He is using fertilizer for better crop growth etc.

Effects of environmental
problems:
Asthma, heart disease, cancer, skin disease and various
kinds of allergy are increasing.
Uncertain Future
To meet the increasing demand of people, trees are being cut down
and a great amount of oxygen source is being lost. The supply of
necessary things like food, medicine etc is being at stake. The
imbalance in the oxygen is causing increase in nitrogen, carbon
dioxide, hydrogen etc.

For man’s own luxury and comfort:

We are exhausting nature.
Species of animals are becoming extinct.
Raising global warming.

Conclusion:
Thus, from this we can understand that us people of Bangladesh
suffer from various kinds of environmental problems. We should try
to prevent this from happening. All of us should be conscious about
the rules and measures the United Nations has taken about a clean
environment. Clean environment always rewards us with a safe
country.

Thank you!
