Cost Model
Mine cost models are an invaluable tool for early order-of-magnitude cost estimates.
Costmine currently publishes 186 cost models in Mining Cost Service using first
principles based on typical mining criteria for rock densities, swell factors, drill
penetration rates, etc. Industry-standard estimating methods are used for equipment
selection, personnel allocation, and cost estimation.
The following cost model sample is an open pit mine producing 5,000 tonnes ore and 5,000 tonnes BUILDINGS PRIMARY SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
waste per day. Rock characteristics for both ore and waste are typical of those granite or porphyritic Shop sq. meters 583 Diesel Fuel liter/day 4,751
